Mastering QuickBooks 2024 – Fifth Edition by Crystalynn Shelton is an excellent, step-by-step guide to using QuickBooks Online for U.S. small-business bookkeeping. Shelton’s clear explanations and abundant screenshots make complex features approachable, even for beginners. 

That said, users should note the summer 2025 application upgrade from QuickBooks shifted several interface elements, workflows, and introducted "AI" processing. 

While the core concepts and walkthroughs remain valuable, some screens and menu paths no longer align exactly with the live software. It remains a very solid foundational book until a fully updated edition is released.
