Question: I do some freelance design Gigs and would like to start sending formal invoices to my customers.
Here is a place to look in Microsoft Excel.
Open Microsoft Excel
You should arrive at a screen asking if you want a Blank Document, or to choose a template.
In the Search dialog box, type "invoice" and hit enter.
A listing of invoice templates will be presented.
Review the results to pick your favorite style.
Click to open and edit (customize) with your details, then save.

Customize each invoice for every customer:
Open your saved template
Add customer details and save a new document
Increment the invoice number
Add the Item Description information
Add the cost information (etc.)
You can send the file as an email attachment or via US Mail.
This will give your design gigs a formal invoicing process.
